We received a selection of photos from the Korean War.

They had been damaged by fire and water, after being left in a trench during cold weather; a small fire was started to keep the officers warm, then was left unattended! Consequently the fire had taken hold and much of the contents of the trench lost. Some photos survived!

A customer brought this very badly creased photo to us, the fading was particularly bad.

Our restorer was able to digitally remove the creases that cut across the legs of the family in the photo, he managed to keep the authenticity by carefully replacing the creased areas and blending in with the good parts of the photo. And after controlling the fading and contrast, we were left with a completely clear picture, where the detailing was brought forward quite clearly.

This particular photo was brought to us in a very badly faded state. It had obviously been left in a frame, hanging on the wall somewhere. It was so badly faded that much of the detail was lost.
